Since 1976, this cemetery has been protected and maintained by the Southport Historical Society. They have made it a special goal to catalog all information found on the burials.

  Scene was shot at Luola's Chapel in the town of Winnabow, North Carolina. The building was built on Orton Plantation, one of the most famous rice plantations in the Lower Cape Fear region. The chapel is set in a secluded location among trees and manicured bushes.
