Scene was shot Constructed in 1922 by showman Sid Grauman, who is also responsible for the Million Dollar Theatre and the more famous Chinese Theatre, and designed by Meyer & Holler in the Egyptian Revival style. The theatre fell into disrepair over the years until it was eventually bought by the American Cinematheque in 1998 and extensively restored. While the exterior has been returned to its original state, the interior was extensively remodeled splitting it original 1,760 seat theater into two smaller screens. The Egyptian Theatre hosted the first ever Hollywood premiere in 1922 for the film Robin Hood.
