Country: United Kingdom

“Shooting in one take involves filming locations close to each other so that the actors and cameraman with camera can move between them without stopping filming. Most of the series was filmed in the town of Wakefield, which is located in West Yorkshire. Aside from the specifics of filming, the location was chosen because the lead actor, Owen Cooper, who played Jamie, is from nearby Warrington. The director wanted the audience to see the character as a resident of northern England, where the action of the series takes place.
Much of the filming took place at Production Park, a studio complex near Wakefield. Here the production team built a police station. The Millers' screen home was just a short drive from the studio.
Filming for the second episode took place at Minsthorpe College in the South Elmsall neighborhood of Wakefield. The filming of this episode involved 320 teenagers playing schoolchildren and 50 adults who reincarnated as teachers, passers-by and parents. It took 13 takes to film the episode. ”
