Where was Beetlejuice filmed
Beetlejuice
Year: 1988
Country: USA

Since the plot of Beetlejuice revolves around the afterlife, the underground, and the dead, the location of the movie had to be perfect. Much of the production and filming of Beetlejuice took place in Vermont and a studio in Culver City, California. Since Tim Burton is known for his creative ideas, a studio was needed where all of his wild fantasies were realized. All these strange scenes were filmed in special pavilions made for the movie. Although some visual effects were added later. Some scenes were filmed in local buildings located in East Corinth, a small town located in Orange County, Vermont.

Locations
Hardware store
In movie
Scene where Barbara and Adam are driving to the hardware store. The car pulls up to a small, cozy store with a bright red sign. Barbara and Adam almost run inside, where there is an atmosphere of provincial tranquility: wooden shelves full of various goods, an old-fashioned cash register, and an elderly, slightly absent-minded barber from a neighboring establishment.
Real
Scene was shot At the General Store in East Corinth. It was known as the Maitland Hardware Store in the movie. You can still visit the store to this day and buy a few useful items. Take a small souvenir with you!
Heavenly office
In movie
Scene where We see what really happened to Beetlejuice after he was swallowed by the sandworm. It turns out that the real hell is not an icy lake or a cauldron of boiling water, but bureaucracy and a line at the clerk's office! It's time to send Cerberus to the gates of the MFC. We guess Beetlejuice got what he deserved after what he put the Maitland and Dietz couples through.
Real
Scene was shot The movie studio in Culver City. It was created by silent film pioneer Thomas H. Ince, and it is where the classics of Hollywood's Golden Age were filmed. It is now one of the most valuable independent film and television studios in the entertainment industry.
The Dietz House
In movie
Scene where A dinner party is taking place at the Dietz house. Charles and Delia are inviting guests and trying to be good hosts when Lydia, startles the audience by saying, “I've seen ghosts.” Lydia keeps her composure and tries to continue the dinner while Delia suddenly starts singing the song “Banana boat” by Harry Belafonte. She really sang the song beautifully! The lip-syncing, dancing, and acting were top notch!
Real
Scene was shot In East Corinth, California. The house shown in the movie was not actually a real house, but a set that was later dismantled. And the interiors were created at Culver Studios, in their sound booth.
