Written and directed by Kenneth Branagh, Belfast was one of the first movies to film during the coronavirus pandemic which impacted how they had to approach filming. Initially it had been planned that the street featured in the film would be done in an upmarket part of London, however has the pandemic hit this was decided impractical so it was decided that they would need to recreate the street used on a set, and the end of the runway at Farnborough Airport was used

Scene was shot Cave Hill or Cavehill is a rocky hill overlooking the city of Belfast. It get its name from the five caves on the side of the main Belfast cliffs. It is 368 metres (1,207 ft) high. On top of the hill are the remains of an ancient fort called McArt's Fort. Its distinguishing feature is 'Napoleon's Nose’, a cliff which resembles the profile of the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.
