It closed in 1984. Boyd Gaming purchased the defunct property in 1993 for $16.5 million. In real life the assassination happened on the parking lot of a restaurant called Tony Roma’s, now Hustler Hollywood in Las Vegas (620 E Sahara Ave, Las Vegas).
