The action of the series takes place in Smolensk. This city attracted the creators with its authentic historical streets, where you can shoot events of different eras, because the plot of the TV show develops in different time periods. In addition to Smolensk, the authors included in the list of filming locations in Moscow and the Moscow region: Shchelkovo, Lyubertsy and Serpukhov. In Serpukhov, the team has taken a disused manufactory Konshinyh for filming action scenes. And in Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region, the creators looked into the museum-estate Serednikovo. Moscow's famous Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art with its atmospheric wine cellars also served as an excellent backdrop for some scenes of the series.
