El Salvador might not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking about movie locations, but this small Central American country has a lot to offer. From stunning beaches to colonial towns and volcanoes, El Salvador has been featured in several movies. For example, the city of Suchitoto was the location for the filming of "Voces Inocentes" (Innocent Voices), a movie about the Salvadoran civil war. Moreover, the town of Juayúa was a setting for the award-winning movie "La Palabra de Pablo" (Pablo's Word) which showcases the beauty of the Ruta de las Flores (Flowers Route). Finally, the Tamanique waterfalls were featured in the movie "Morazán" which tells the story of Francisco Morazán, a Central American hero.
