Scene was shot Bixby Creek Bridge, also known as Bixby Canyon Bridge, is a bridge on the Californian coast line. The bridge is 120 miles (190 km) south of San Francisco and 13 miles (21 km) south of Carmel in Monterey County along State Route 1. The bridge opened in 1932.

Upon its grand opening in 1923, the Los Angeles Biltmore was the largest hotel west of Chicago. The Los Angeles Biltmore is known for being an early home to the Academy Awards ceremony--the Oscars. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was founded at a luncheon banquet in the Crystal Ballroom in May 1927.
