Scene was shot Bethells Beach is a coastal community in the Auckland Region in the north of the North Island, New Zealand. In 1976 the New Zealand Geographic Board changed the name of the beach from Bethells Beach to Te Henga. Te Henga is the Māori name, meaning sand. The beach itself is approximately 30 kilometres west of Auckland City.
