<p>Although the British drama is set in the Spanish fishing village of Almeria, the film crew chose to recreate the atmosphere of this place in Greece. The region of Attica with its picturesque landscapes served as a “stand-in” for the Spanish coast. Filming took place in Lavrio, Marathonas, Nea Makri, Piraeus and in the center of Athens. The Attica region was chosen because of its similarity to Almeria: white-washed houses, narrow streets and proximity to the sea helped to create the necessary illusion. Filming took place in July 2023, which allowed to capture the grueling heat that characterizes the southern summer. Despite the fact that the movie was shot in Greece, the team made every effort to capture the spirit of Spain through the details and overall atmosphere.</p>
