The Invasion was filmed in several locations: Moscow, Budapest (Hungary), Kaliningrad and Kamchatka. In Moscow, a special outdoor swimming pool was built for the flood scenes. One of the tense episodes of the chase filmed in Orlikovy Lane, and part of the chase for Yulia and Hackon - on an unfinished section of the Fourth Ring Road, which was specially filled with cars. In Budapest, the main water scenes were filmed in a special outdoor pool on the roof of Origo Studios, where special installations helped to create waves and splashes. In Kamchatka, for example, one of the final scenes of the movie was filmed, which had to be shot on location. The film crews traveled a total of almost ten thousand kilometers.
