Where was Jaws 2 filmed

1986, Horror Thriller Adventure
Filming country: USA

Originally, the filming location for the sequel was supposed to be Cape Cod. However, after facing some difficulties (no, not a giant shark), the filmmakers moved the production to Florida. Most of the filming took place on Navarre Beach. Some of the filming took place west of Pensacola, near Fort Pickens.

A boat underwater

In movie

Scene where two divers are underwater, Bertha and Ernie, and one points to the other “down there.” They dive deeper to investigate a sunken fishing boat, and as they move through the cabins, a vague, menacing figure approaches.

Real

Scene was shot in Navarre Beach, located just off Highway 98, served as the location for these particular scenes and most of the other exterior shots in the movie. The filmmakers chose the area between Destin and Fort Walton Beach simply because of the warm, pleasant climate and the depth of the water. The waters in the area were also deep enough for the sharks to plausibly circle around the platform set in the area.

Bar

In movie

Scene where Mike hangs out with his friends, including Brooke, Jackie, Timmy, Andy, Ed and Tina, at a pinball arcade. There they discuss their plans to go to a party at the lighthouse, where they have been invited by an acquaintance.

Real

Scene was shot at the Hog's Bref Saloon, formerly located on Okaloosa Island. The restaurant/bar was moved and set up at a different address because its original location was noted as a hurricane-prone area. It has been in an abandoned state since 2005.

Hotel

In movie

Scene where In the first few minutes of the movie, Chief Brody enters a new luxury hotel where a grand opening ball is in full swing. He takes his seat among the other dignitaries and Mayor Vaughn, who is presiding over the ceremony, begins his speech.

Real

Scene was shot at the Holiday Inn in Navarre, which served as the movie's headquarters. Production offices were located on the first floor. Unfortunately, this one no longer exists after it was destroyed by the 2004 Atlantic hurricane season.
