Scene was shot in the village of Barkhany in the Astrakhan region. In this place there are perishing settlements, where out of several dozen houses most of them are abandoned and already almost completely covered with sand, in colour reminiscent of Martian sand. It is difficult to build such a thing on purpose, but the creators of the series were lucky and found locations with a perfectly suitable exterior of a Russian village.
