Marafon
Year: 2013

Tolik's life is falling apart: his sports career has failed, his wife has left him for someone else, and he has lost faith in himself. Everything changes after a chance meeting with the eccentric Anna Ilyinichnaya, who offers him to participate in an unusual marathon in the United States. Anna dreams of winning the race and receiving a prize of one million dollars. Tolik, although cynical, agrees to the adventure: he will train Anna, and in case of victory they will share the winnings. Ahead of them awaits the most important race in life. Filming of the movie took place in Novorossiysk, a little in Gelendzhik, and American scenes were shot in Los Angeles. The director notes that the production of the movie was not easy: strong winds in the Crimea and heavy rains in California seriously interfered with the work, creating difficulties both in Russia and in the USA.

Locations
Cove
In movie
Scene where Having collected his belongings at the lifeguard's booth on the shore of the bay, Tolik gets into the car and prepares to leave. However, at the last moment he notices that the elderly woman has disappeared from his sight. Thinking that she might have drowned, he rushes to the water to save her.
Real
Scene was shot in the Blue Bay, a picturesque place on the Black Sea coast, which is surrounded by rocky cliffs and covered with dense pine forests. It is a secluded bay with clear azure water, which shimmers especially beautifully in the sun. The coastline combines sandy and pebble beaches, passing into small cozy coves. Here you can often see yachts and fishing boats, creating an atmosphere of calm and measured seaside rhythm. In the distance you can see snow-white rocks and hills, overgrown with juniper, which gives the landscape a special cinematographic character.
Road
In movie
Scene where After an unsuccessful attempt to “rescue” an elderly woman who was not drowning at all, Tolik goes to a cafe where his wife and daughter are already waiting for him. He rushes on his car along the highway to be in time for the family gatherings.
Real
Scene was shot at the Line-Defense Line Memorial in Novorossiysk. It is a majestic monument located at the entrance to the city, reminding of the heroic defense during the Great Patriotic War. A wide steppe with picturesque views of the mountains and the sea spreads nearby, and around the memorial there are spacious open spaces that allow organizing large panoramic shots.
The bench in the square
In movie
Scene where after training, Tolik and Anna Ilyinichna sit on a bench while he checks her pulse. She looks at him calmly and, after a little breathing, offers to come over to her house to eat pea soup. Tolik thinks for a moment, but then agrees - the offer was too tempting.
Real
Scene was shot on a promontory next to the Monument to Fishermen who died in Novorossiysk. It was erected to commemorate the tragic events related to the harsh working conditions and dangers faced by local fishermen. It is a symbol of respect for those who did not return from the sea, whose labor was an integral part of life in the seaside city. The cape where the memorial is located adds drama to the overall picture. The presence of the sea is always felt here - the sound of the waves, the wind that walks among the rocks, and the smell of salt in the air. This place is both majestic and sad, emphasizing Novorossiysk's unbreakable connection with the sea and the fates of those who dedicated their lives to it.
