Scene was shot Dalton Barracks is the home of the 4th Regiment of the Royal Logistic Corps. It was on the territory of this military base that all the necessary scenery for filming the airfield, such as the flight control center, was erected. The location was chosen because there is already part of the buildings, including the takeoff field, which is not used by the military. For filming, two full-size replicas of a B-17 airplane were brought to the site. They were lifted into the air with a crane to shoot the takeoff and landing scenes.
