Shooting of “Megalopolis” took place in the USA: in Atlanta and New York. The director combined real city landmarks with futuristic buildings created using CGI. New York, with its endless skyscrapers iconic places like Manhattan, Central Park, Wall Street, was used for live “on location” filming outdoors and in scenes depicting the city of the future. In contrast, the Atlanta studios were used to shoot only “indoor” and key scenes for the movie's plot.
