Where was Minority Report filmed
Minority Report
Year: 2002
Country: USA

Although the movie is set in and around Washington, D.C., the crew decided to choose locations mostly in Los Angeles. Some footage was shot in DC, specifically in the Georgetown area, but for the most part the movie was shot in Los Angeles. The most interesting thing about this movie is that it was the first to use a fully digital production design. This meant that the futuristic shots that director Steven Spielberg envisioned for the movie could actually be brought to life. There's also a sampling of filming locations in rural Virginia, possessing the secluded atmosphere needed for the scenes where Anderton was on the run. It really contrasts with the shiny futuristic elements of the city scenes and shows a sort of “before and after” of John's journey.

If you have suggestions for improving information about locations, you can make them using the editing function.
Locations
Clandestine clinic
In movie
Scene where Anderton goes on the run from the crime squad, he hides in alleys and run-down areas of the city, trying to keep a low profile. Since everything in this society is tracked through retinal scans, John knows he needs to change his eyes. He decides to undergo a dubious surgery at an underground clinic.
Real
Scene was shot in the Eldorado Lofts apartment complex, near the previous location. The apartment complex is a former hotel in Los Angeles. Since the building has been renovated, it is very different from the shabby (pardon the bluntness) apartment building you see in the movie.
Hall
In movie
Scene where at the gala event, Lamar gets a call from John, who takes over the screens and sound in the hall, talking about his horrible actions. “Hey Lamar, I just wanted to congratulate you, you did it. You created a world without murder, and all you had to do was kill someone to do it.” It's a retribution that Lamar fully deserves, and it's the perfect climax to the movie.
Real
Scene was shot in the Willard Room of the Willard Washington Hotel. This scene is one of the few that were filmed in Washington, DC. Located across the street from the U.S. Treasury Department and next to the White House, it is one of the most popular hotels in the country and is used for glitzy galas and events year-round.
Police station
In movie
Scene where Police Captain Anderton, as usual, is going over the seer's reports on a crime in progress. Suddenly, he sees himself in the report. Anderton realizes that he's next on the wanted list, and this character Raven, whom he supposedly shot, is his victim. But who is this guy? Anderton has no idea, and he only has 36 hours to figure it all out and change his fate.
Real
Scene was shot in the Angelus Plaza apartment complex located in the Little Tokyo neighborhood of Los Angeles. This former apartment building is just steps away from Grand Central Market, so you can visit this filming location and grab a bite to eat at the same time.
