The geography of filming the movie “Resident Error” is diverse. The creators of the picture used different cities and countries to create the most realistic and exciting picture. 4
A significant part of the filming took place in the Kaliningrad region. This region, located on the coast of the Baltic Sea, had a unique architecture reminiscent of European cities. Filmmakers skillfully used this feature to create the illusion of a Western environment without leaving the confines of the Soviet Union.
Vienna played an important role in creating dynamic chase scenes. The Austrian capital with its wide avenues and recognizable landmarks was an ideal location for filming car chases.
The city of Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod) also became one of the filming locations. This large industrial center on the Volga River provided the crew with the necessary infrastructural facilities. It is likely that here were filmed scenes related to the work of Tuliev at the plant, as well as some interior episodes.
Some episodes of “Resident Error” were filmed in Yaroslavl. This ancient Russian city with its rich history and architecture became an unexpected but organic background for the development of the plot.
The village of Kupanskoe in Pereslavl district of Yaroslavl region also contributed to the creation of the movie. This picturesque village with its quiet streets and wooden houses was probably the location for filming episodes related to the main character's vacation or solitude
