Where was Phenomenon filmed
Phenomenon
Year: 1996
Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Romance
Country: USA

The romantic drama starring John Travolta was mostly filmed in the town of Auburn in northern California. Known since the days of the gold rush, Auburn is a historical landmark in California. The gorgeous surroundings of the old town were used as locations for the movie. Take, for example, the bar where George celebrates his birthday, which at the time was called “Shanghai”. These days it's called the Auburn Elhouse and is located in the heart of downtown Auburn. Doc Brunder's office, which you may remember from the “moonlighting” scene in Phenomenon, is on Sacramento Street, and the gas station shown in the movie was actually a set built in front of the Auburn Post Office.
