The series was filmed in a large number of simply stunning locations in the Moscow region, Karachayevo-Cherkessia and also in the Elbrus region. According to the crew, it took more than 1.5 years to select all the locations.

Scene was shot in sets from past movies. It was decided not to dismantle them, but to leave them just in case of filming the sequel and the TV series. Therefore, after a small restoration and updating for the needs of the series, they were used for the filming of the series. The sets are located in the Moscow region and are available for visiting.
