The movie was shot in the Urals: in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions. The script team needed an authentic cave, and they found one in Kyshtym Sliudorudnik. Lake Sugomak near the town of Kyshtym also became a landscape for some scenes. And the remarkable house “made of garbage”, which even received a separate character poster, is a real residential structure from the village of Murzinka in the Sverdlovsk region.
Lekha's house
In movie
Scene where Lekha (Maxim Stoyanov) returns to his home. A few kids are frolicking at the gate, trying to pocket a "piece" of the house. The thing is that the hero's house is unusual: it looks like a work of modern art, not a residential building. All covered with bottles, old cans, tires, wrappers, toys. The children call the hero a garbage man, laugh at him and run away.

Real
Scene was shot in the village of Murzinka near Novouralsk. It is a real landmark of the settlement, and the place where the building rises has been called the "mountain of fools". Alexander, the owner of the house, did not plan to make it exactly like this. His father built an ordinary garden house, built from improvised materials that he could get in the 90's, and decorated with ordinary household things. The unusualness of the space perfectly suited the concept of the movie.
Cave
In movie
Scene where Lekha and Yana (Alena Miroshnikova) are running from their pursuers through the forest. They find a cave to hide in. Yana asks Lekha to take all the metal objects out of his pockets. They hug and Lech disappears.
Timing: 01:05:25
Real
Scene was shot at an abandoned mica mine near the town of Kyshtym. The filmmakers needed a cave untouched by man for the key final scene of the movie. The reliefs around the mica mine are very cinematic, so these eco-trails were also captured.
Snowfield
In movie
Scene where Lesha carries Yana on his back. They cross a huge snow field. They have to hurry, because they are being chased by angry pursuers with dogs. They are holding axes, shovels, pokers, only forks and torches are missing.
Timing: 01:03:21
Real
Scene was shot on Lake Sugomak west of the town of Kyshtym in the Chelyabinsk region. The snow-covered lake was the perfect place for filming the ger escape. It symbolizes the border between the old and the new world, and crossing it, Lesha says goodbye to his former life, he will not go back.
