Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Country: United Kingdom

This thrilling science fiction adventure directed by Steven Spielberg takes viewers to the year 2045. The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Ernest Cline, published in 2011. The action unfolds in a dystopian future, where people escape from the harsh reality, immersing themselves in a virtual world called Oasis. Although the story is set in Columbus, Ohio, most of the scenes were filmed in England, primarily in London and Birmingham. Many key episodes were filmed on the busy streets of the British capital. For example, the fight scene at the Okagami Corporation was filmed on Roopmarket Street - in the heart of the city. The streets of Finsbury Street, Moor Lane and Moorfields in Islington were also used for filming. Birmingham, with its unique architecture and historical flavor, became the perfect backdrop for the dystopian world outside the Oasis. One of the key locations was the famous Jewellery Quarter, known for its old buildings and the atmosphere of its industrial past.
