Scene was shot Six Flags New Orleans is a 146.2-acre, abandoned theme park in New Orleans. The park first opened in 2000 as Jazzland. In early 2003, Six Flags upgraded the park and renamed it to Six Flags New Orleans. The park has been closed since it was seriously damaged by flooding during Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005.
In July 2019, mayor LaToya Cantrell announced that the New Orleans government would explore the possibility of demolishing the site. In the meantime the city generates money for itself by leasing the park on-and-off as a filming location. Movies filmed there are Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Jurassic World and Deepwater Horizon.
