<p>A 2002 American spy comedy action spy film directed by Robert Rodriguez, who also wrote, produced, cinematographed and edited the film. It is the sequel to the first installment Spy Kids and the second installment of the franchise. Filming took place in several countries. In Costa Rica, the crew worked at Lake Arenal and Manuel Antonio National Park. These locations were used for scenes on the island. In the United States, filming took place primarily in Texas: Austin, San Antonio, and Big Bend National Park. Scenes were also filmed at Six Flags Over Texas amusement park in Arlington.</p>

    Scene where at an awards banquet for OSS agents, Donnagon Giggles hacks into the teleprompter, tampering with the president's speech, and self-proclaims himself as the organization's new director, ousting Gregorio Cortez. Shortly thereafter, a mysterious group called Magna Men incapacitates all adult OSS agents. Their goal is to steal a device called the Transmuker, capable of disabling all electronics on the planet.

    Scene was shot inside the Texas State Capitol building, located on Congress Avenue in Austin. Built in 1888, this capitol is one of the largest in the United States and serves as a striking example of Neo-Renaissance architecture made of light pink granite quarried in Texas.

    Scene where - After arriving on the island, Carmen and Juni meet a scientist named Romero, who is creating miniature hybrid animals for sale. He accidentally spills a growth potion on his creatures, causing them to become gigantic. Romero also reveals that he was the one who developed the Transmuker device, which was used to hide the island from the outside world. It turns out that the stolen Transmuker is just a prototype, and the real one has been on the island all along.

    Scene was shot in Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the country's most scenic and popular nature reserves. The park is located south of the city of Quepos, on the Pacific coast, about 130 kilometers from the capital San Jose.

    Scene where Carmen and Junie Cortez, now agents in the new Spy Kids unit at the Office of Strategic Services, are involved in an operation to free the President's daughter, Alexandra. The mission takes place at Troublemakers, a theme park owned by Dinky Winks. Despite Carmen and Junie's efforts, the mission is successfully completed by their rivals, Gary and Gertie Giggles, children of high-ranking agent Donnagon Giggles.

    Scene was shot at Six Flags Over Texas, an amusement park in Arlington, Texas. The park, which opened in 1961, was the first in the Six Flags chain and was named in honor of the six nations whose flags have flown over Texas at different times in history: Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the United States of America and the Confederate States of America.
