Scene was shot Marseille already had a courthouse when in 1856 it was decided to move it to Place Montoyn. It replaced an old palace called Pavilion Daviel. M. Auguste Martin was hired as the architect. The paleis was renovated in 2013 until 2015.
In 1976 an underground car park was realized with 500 spaces. On top a large pond was created.
