Filming on Wolfman began in November 1984 and wrapped a month later. Although the plot revolves around Scott, who lives in a small Nebraska town, the crew actually filmed the movie in the Los Angeles area. Jay Fox had just finished filming a comedy movie about a teenage werewolf when he took on the role in Back to the Future. It just so happens that the two productions have some similar locations. For example, the Howard residence is where scenes were filmed in the 1955 Baines house in Back to the Future. The tree that George McFly climbs also appears in the comedy.
