The action is set in an alternate America of the mid-1990s. Animatronic robots created for Disneyland became intelligent and started a war with mankind. After the defeat of the rebellious robots, they were exiled to a “forbidden zone” in the desert in the southwestern United States (Seattle and San Francisco). The main character named Michelle goes on a journey across the country in search of her missing brother. The action takes place against the backdrop of a civil war with robots that once served humans.
