Much of the movie was filmed at the Magic Castle Inn & Suites and Futureland Inn motels, which became the screen home for Mooney and her mother Hallie. This old building, surrounded by rusty fences and overgrown plots of land, looks secluded and lost among more modern structures. It is now unknown if the building is still standing or has already been destroyed.

Scene was shot at the Paradise Inn in Kissimmee. It became a key location for filming, transforming into the fictional Future Land Motel.
