The movie "The Truman Show" was filmed in the small town of Santa Rosa Beach, which is located in Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico, USA. It is a sunny and cute town that really looks like the perfect town for a television show. At the planning stage, the crew thought that Truman would live in New York, but afterwards it was decided to change the rainy metropolis for something more cozy.

Scene was shot in the small town of Santa Rosa Beach, located in Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico. Originally it was planned to shoot in New York, but then it was decided to find a small sunny town, and in the movie to present a fictional place. The crew made only a few changes to the house before filming. They painted the outside of it, put in different furniture and changed the house number above the door to 36. The owners believe this was done because 36 is visually more pleasing than 31. After the filming, the owners decided to leave the new number on the house, and after all these years, it's still there!

Scene was shot on a bridge just north of Panama City, the city where most of the movie was filmed. It was geographically accurate, and the bridge met all the director's requirements and was very close, which reduced the cost of filming.
