Where was The Voronins filmed

The Voronins

Year: 2009

Genre: Adventure, Comedy

Country: Russia

The plot of the popular comedy series unfolds in two neighboring apartments on the same stairwell - according to the script they are located on Botanicheskaya Street near VDNKh. Kostya and Vera and their children live in apartment No. 26, and opposite, in apartment No. 25 - Kostya's parents. Both apartments are connected by a common balcony, through which the parents of the main character regularly visit their children, which became one of the hallmarks of the series. The main filming took place not in real apartments, but in specially built sets in the pavilion. The interiors were recreated from plasterboard, decorated in a cozy style familiar to the viewer. These sets have become “home” for the crew for many years - hundreds of episodes were filmed here, and the actors often admitted that they feel at home on the set. Filming of the series took place not only in the pavilion: several episodes were shot in Yaroslavl (in 2018) and in Sochi (in 2019), adding some fresh landscapes and new impressions to the familiar picture. Interestingly, the set of “Voroninykh” was located next to the sets of the series “Daddy's Daughters” - the two TV projects were literally neighbors.

Locations

  • House of the Voronins

    In movie

Scene where a small family drama unfolds in an ordinary Moscow apartment. The main character, Kostya, is approached by his daughter who asks him to give her candy. The father hides the sweets with a smile and jokingly says: "Mashul, a lot of sweets is bad for you, or your bows will stick together".

    Real

Scene was shot in the house at 41 Komsomolsky Prospekt, which is located in the Central Administrative District, in the Khamovniki district. The district is characterized by well-developed infrastructure, proximity to the embankment of the Moskva River and major transport interchanges. The house itself is located near the metro stations "Frunzenskaya" and "Sportivnaya", as well as in walking distance from the Gorky Park and Neskuchny Garden. This part of the city is actively used for filming due to recognizable Moscow landscapes and accessibility of transport infrastructure.

  • Kostya and Vera's apartment

    In movie

Scene where The Voronin elders quarreled, seemingly over a trifle - a hodgepodge. As a result of this quarrel, Kostya's mother moved in with him, and his wife Vera, unable to withstand the heated situation, went to live with his parents.

    Real

Scene was shot in one of the pavilions of the AMEDIA film studio located in Moscow. The studio's pavilions are equipped with everything necessary for creating interior scenes: spacious shooting rooms with high ceilings, professional lighting and sound, as well as convenient infrastructure for actors and crew. On the territory of the pavilion were specially built sets of two adjacent apartments - Kostya Voronin and his parents. These sets were repeatedly rebuilt and finalized depending on the plot needs, but at the core remained constant for dozens of seasons. The space was organized to imitate a typical Moscow apartment, with details of everyday life recognizable to many viewers.

  • Kremlin

    In movie

Scene where our heroes go on a river cruise. Of course, in full (which does not quite please Vera). The ship makes a stop in beautiful Yaroslavl, and the Voronins decide to go on a tour of the city's most famous sights.

    Real

Scene was shot in the Yaroslavl Kremlin, a historical fortress located in the center of Yaroslavl, on the high right bank of the Volga River. It is one of the most significant architectural and cultural sites of the city. The Kremlin was founded in the XII-XIII centuries, and its walls and towers have witnessed many historical events. The area around the Kremlin has picturesque views of the Volga River and the old part of the city, which makes this place attractive for filming.
