Scene was shot Olowalu Landing, on Maui is a local gem. The beach area around the Landing is bordered on both sides by privately-owned land. You can still find the remains of a sugar venture that begun in 1876 by Philip Milton and Goodale Armstrong. The area however was too rocky for profitable cultivation. In 1914 the Olowalu Landing served as one of twelve landings on Maui where the Inter-Island Steamship Company scheduled regular stops. Steamers carried freight, passengers and mail to and from Olowalu.
