McCulloh Homes
In movie
Scene where D'Angelo Barksdale teaches boys how to play chess. He has been moved from the towers to the ghetto so he doesn't "shine" too much and is tasked with organizing the drug trade in the neighborhood. He takes charge of the situation and begins to get the processes aligned more properly and safely.
(Episode 1.1)
Real
Scene was shot to the McCulloch Homes neighborhood, which is in Baltimore. It's not ghetto, but it's not an affluent neighborhood. That being said, the houses there are quite well-maintained, albeit inexpensive. We chose this location for its convenient location, where the houses really do almost completely shut out what is going on in the yard from "unnecessary" views.
