The movie "Waterworld" was filmed in Hawaii in the United States, as well as in the open water near the islands. This decision, to shoot not in the pool at the studio, but in the sea, was a huge mistake, about which the director was warned by Steven Spielberg, who emphasized that it would be a problem and would exceed the budget. And so it happened - huge and expensive sets were destroyed by the storm, the whole crew suffered from heat and jellyfish, which stung the actors during filming, and the constant rocking from waves and storms exhausted. But we know for sure that this is not a swimming pool, but on location filming in the sea.
