The series "Yellowstone" was filmed almost entirely in Montana, USA. And most of the filming took place on the territory of one ranch, roads around and a small town. But there are separate scenes in offices and Texas, exhibitions and city locations were filmed in Utah, Texas, Arizona in many cities. There is also no geographical correspondence, many offices and buildings located in the movie are in reality located in different cities, and Dutton Ranch, which in the story is adjacent to the Yellowstone National Park in reality is quite far away.
Dutton Ranch
In movie
Scene where we are shown the Dutton ranch, including all the scenes with the animal pens, fields, houses, barns and the hired help's quarters. Also all the scenes filmed from the air over the property, but except for the park and mountain scenes - they were usually filmed elsewhere.
Real
Scene was shot at Chief Joseph's ranch - it's not a set, it's a real working ranch. In it, the family raises cows, horses, and does about the same things as the characters in the show, only without the banditry, gunfights, etc. The ranch was built by settlers in 1880. It was originally known as the Shelton Ranch. Now it also operates an agri-tourism operation, so you can make reservations and visit.
