In one of the scenes the press gathers on the steps of the Capitol, at the moment when the current president of the USA (Angela Bassett) and the head of the new investigation department, ex-president George Malin (De Niro), discuss further actions and are about to make an important statement in connection with the situation. Journalists are awaiting an important statement that is not likely to bring relief but will only add to the chaos in the country.

These heliports, located on the west side of Manhattan in New York City, are a popular location for filming due to their central location and scenic panoramic views of the city, the Hudson River and the New York City skyline. This location was perfect for filming for several reasons. First, it allows to show the scale and seriousness of the situation when former President George Mullen flies to New York to solve the crisis. Secondly, the helicopter port against the panorama of the city emphasizes the tension and drama of what is happening, creating a visually impressive picture. Finally, the proximity to the city center makes this location logical and realistic for a scene where a high-ranking official arrives at the epicenter of important events.
