Scene was shot Opened as a vaudeville house in 1927 and converted into a movie theatre in the early 1930s. Bought by the City of Vancouver in 1974 and converted into a live performance venue. Became a Vancouver heritage building in 1979.

Scene was shot The Apthorp is a Italian Renaissance Revival apartment building constructed in 1908 for William Waldorf Astor by the architectural firm Clinton & Russell. At the center of the building is a cobblestone courtyard and driveway. The building was sold in 2006 and converted to condominiums in 2008 which sold for around $3,000 per square foot.
