Almost all of the shootings were made at the operating nuclear power plant, specifically the Kursk nuclear power plant, located in the city of Kurchatov. The underwater scenes were filmed in Hungary at Origo Studios. The film was also shot in Croatia, Moscow, Zelenograd and Troitsk.
