Scene was shot The design of the Palladian Bridge over the little River Nadder at Wilton House was inspired by Andrea Palladio's rejected design for the Rialto Bridge in Venice (inter alia), adapted and supervised by Henry 9th Earl of Pembroke with Roger Morris. A copy of it was erected at the much-visited garden of Stowe in Buckinghamshire, and three more were erected, at Prior Park, Bath, Hagley and Amesbury. Empress Catherine the Great commissioned another copy, known as the Marble Bridge, to be set up at the landscape park of Tsarskoye Selo.
