The writer James Joyce lived around the square during some of his formative years.

Scene was shot The Phil Lynott Statue is a bronze statue located in the centre of Dublin. It pays tribute to Phil Lynott, the Irish singer and bassist who was a well-known member of the group Thin Lizzy. Lynott died on 4th of January, 1986. The statue was created by Paul Daly and cast by Leo Higgins. Phil’s mother Philomena unveiled the statue in 2005 outside Bruxelles bar on Harry Street.

Killiney Hill Park

In 1887 the park was dedicated to public use by Prince Albert Victor of Wales. Originally it was called Victoria Hill. There are several walking tracks in the park.
